We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to provide high-quality befriending services to socially isolated seniors. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering projects and activities, identifying community and networking partners, and communicating the needs of seniors to external stakeholders.

About the Role

  • ">
  • The Befriender will deliver projects outputs and activities to seniors at home/off-site according to our Programme Strategy.">
  • Provide feedback on operational gaps and suggest improvements.">
  • Evaluate processes and provide suggestions to improve implementation of different types of activities/projects for seniors.">
  • Encourage suitable seniors to attend programmes at our centre or out of their houses.">
  • Plan, conduct, and assist in Programmes at our centre.">
  • Document important information of seniors and data for reporting purposes.">

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Assist in community assets mapping, outreach events, and stakeholder management.">
  • Identify and support community and networking partners to serve the needs of seniors.">
  • Communicate the needs of seniors to external stakeholders and advocate for action to meet these needs.">
  • Recruit new seniors using the Community Screener Tool (CST) and other required trained tools.">
  • Tier new members according to given criteria.">
  • Engage and support volunteers for our programmes & activities.">

Requirements

  • ">
  • Min. Diploma in Social Work/Gerontology/Psychology or equivalent.">
  • Able to work in the evening and on weekends when required.">
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.">
  • Passionate about working with Seniors.">
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.">
  • Meticulous and detailed.">
  • Good problem-solving skills.">
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated.">
