As a skilled Engineering Maintenance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our hotel's engineering department. Your primary responsibility will be to assist senior staff members in guaranteeing that all mechanical and electrical systems are functioning satisfactorily.
You will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems, structures, and equipment. This will involve installing or repairing meters, starters, switchgears, fittings, wiring, vacuum machines, cables, and all electrical, gas, and fuel-operated machinery throughout the hotel.
Additionally, you will be required to inspect and replace all fused lamps inside and outside the hotel, including grounds, gardens, and swimming pool lights. You will also need to report and maintain television sets, antennas, signal boosters, and amplifiers.
In this role, you will work closely with other team members to ensure that all equipment, switchgears, and wiring are functioning properly. You will be responsible for conducting weekly test runs on generator sets and checking battery water levels, engine oil, indicator water, and other essential parameters.
Furthermore, you will be expected to maintain daily log sheets for reading temperature and pressures of electrical, air-conditioning system, water supply, and heat recovery system. You will also check and repair defective flushing systems, toilet bowls, urinals, basins, and ventilation pipes.
Another key aspect of your role will be to check and repair all valves for hot and cold water and chilled water systems. You will also be responsible for checking all water pumps systems, heat recovery, flush tanks, water tank heaters, and swimming pools, including all valves for hot and cold water systems and chilled water systems.
Moreover, you will perform cement and tiling work for walls, car parks, beams, pillars, floors, vinyl tiles, long baths, basin grouting, pipe and service riser, and staircases. You will also construct edges, kerbs, and pelmets and weld copper, galvanized, and steam pipes.
Lastly, you will install and repair washbasins, long baths, toilet bowls, and urinals. You will also check, repair, and replace washers and gaskets for taps and valves. Ultimately, you will carry out all work connected to plumbing and masonry.
Key Skills and Qualifications- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related industry
- Excellent English communication skills
- Ability to work safely, prudently, and organized manner
- ITE or Diploma graduates or any other relevant license or experience
