Campus Security Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a Campus Security Officer to join our team and support us in maintaining a safe and respectful campus environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing campus rules, regulations, and laws related to tobacco and vaping offences. This will involve conducting patrols to deter and address misconduct, focusing on known hotspots during peak periods.

You will also respond to incidents of misconduct, disturbance, or non-compliance, documenting key details for follow-up. Additionally, you will coordinate with security teams to ensure continuous coverage during evening classes.

As a Campus Security Officer, you will collect evidence and provide statements when required, using approved tools and systems. You will also assist individuals in distress until help arrives; first aid certification is an advantage.

You will participate in joint operations with external agencies and contribute to enforcement strategy improvements. Furthermore, you will attend training sessions to stay updated on enforcement practices and campus safety protocols.

Requirements:
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, and communication)
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to manage offenders
  • Physically fit to conduct extended patrols and respond to incidents
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willing to work rotating shifts
  • Minimum 'N' Level qualification or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in security, enforcement, or military/police roles is an advantage
  • Strong observation skills and attention to detail
