Job Description

The Recording Media Operations Sputter Equipment Engineering team is responsible for developing innovative solutions in mechanical, electrical/electronics, PLC, software & controls, and advanced analytic systems. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for installing, upgrading, and maintaining sputter systems to enhance ultra-high vacuum (UHV) machines with upgrades that improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), unscheduled/scheduled downtime, operations, process capabilities, indirect material/hardware/consumables cost reduction, productivity, new product conversion requirements & readiness, media performance, and defects reduction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain sputter systems
  • Project manage projects within stipulated schedules
  • Troubleshoot and rework both mechanical and electrical issues
  • Involve in technical meetings/discussions
  • Generate reports – daily updates, issues, Closed Loop Corrective Action (CLCA)
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams on improvements and reliability enhancements
