Senior Technician, Facility Maintenance

This role requires a dedicated Facilities Management Technician to support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of facilities services operations. The ideal candidate will work shifts to ensure continuous monitoring, maintenance, and incident response for critical facilities.


Job Description:

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing 24x7 onsite support activities for data centre operations and critical facilities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Centre Operations Support: Provide continuous monitoring, maintenance, and incident response for critical facilities.
  • BMS Monitoring: Perform constant BMS Monitoring for all Data Centre Facilities infrastructure to ensure normal function.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Conduct hands-on troubleshooting and ad-hoc repairs of mechanical and electrical (M&E) equipment.
  • User Requests and Incidents: Manage user requests, incidents, changes, problems, and provisioning through the web portal ticketing system.
  • Safety, Security, and Customer Support: Ensure effective implementation of data centre safety, security, and customer support policies and procedures.
  • Maintenance Activities: Plan and support all preventive and reactive maintenance activities with minimal disruption to data centre services.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 1-year experience in facilities management or a similar role.
  • Certifications: ITE/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Management System and Facilities Management.
  • Technical Skills: Strong experience and knowledge of data center infrastructure, including UPS, cooling tower, pump and chiller systems.
  • Maintenance Skills: Experience with Building Management System, mechanical (ACMV), electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work.
  • Industry Standards: Knowledge of industry standards.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good MS office skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability: Comfortable with rotating shifts and able to work on weekends and public holidays.
