Job Overview:

  • Industry/ Organization Type: Commercial Construction
  • Position Title: Interior Designer
  • Working Location: Geylang
  • Working Hours: 5.25 days (Mon - Fri, 9.00 am - 6.00 pm; Alt Sat, 9.00 am - 1.00 pm)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop creative and functional design concepts for commercial spaces that reflect clients' identities and business goals.
  2. Oversee the entire design process from concept to completion, including space planning, material selection, and project timelines.
  3. Meet with clients to understand their requirements, objectives, and budgets. Present them with design proposals, sketches, and material samples.
  4. Source and select high-quality materials, fixtures, and finishes that align with the design and commercial usability.
  5. Collaborate with contractors, architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure projects are executed as per the design vision.
  6. Ensure projects stay within allocated budgets and provide cost-effective solutions when necessary.
  7. Maintain compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
  8. Prepare and present detailed design concepts, mood boards, and 3D renderings to clients for approval.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial interior design
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills
  • Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility requirements
