Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Vessel Operations Manager to join our team at OSM Maritime Ship Management PTE. LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a fleet of vessels, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Manage the daily operations of assigned vessels, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSM Thome and International Marine regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit regular reports to management, including vessel performance, maintenance, and operational metrics.
  • Crew Management: Supervise and mentor vessel crew members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Port and Flag State Inspections: Coordinate and facilitate port and flag state inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • HSSEQ: Assist vessels in documenting and conducting risk assessments, evaluating and monitoring off-hire records, and maintaining strict cost control of annual operating budgets.
  • Crewing: Make performance evaluations of Masters/Chief Engineers assigned to vessels under supervision.
  • Dry Docking and Repairs: Plan, manage, and execute vessel repairs, dry dockings, and conversions within agreed budgets.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Class 1 Certificate of Competency or Class 2 Certificate of Competency and University Qualification.
  • Experience: Previous experience as Chief Engineer/Master for a minimum of 8 months on relevant type of ships, or a proven track record as Superintendent for a minimum of 2 years in a shore-based shipping company.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
