Construction Cost Manager

M&E construction cost managers play a vital role in overseeing project expenses, ensuring timely delivery of projects while maintaining optimal profit margins.
- About the Job:
This position is based in Singapore (Aljunied) and requires a 5-day workweek from 9am to 6pm. You will be working on multiple projects simultaneously, handling all aspects of contract administration.
- The ideal candidate should hold a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building, or Quantity Surveying, along with at least 2-3 years of experience in the construction industry.
You must be able to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records of project expenses and revenue.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Contract administration works
- Preparation of plans, contracts, budgets, and other necessary documentation
- Quantity takeoff, cost estimation, contract administration, and support during the tender exercise
- Document preparation for sourcing quotations for both pre and post-tender stages
- Tender evaluation, negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers, and liaison with the Procurement Department to ensure timely material procurement
- Monitoring and tracking project expenses to optimize profit margins
- Attending progress meetings, technical meetings, material submission meetings, and capturing variation claims and potential variations
- Preparing and submitting claims, variation orders, budget and cost control, and settlement of final accounts
