Job Title: AutoCAD Drafter

Description

We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences. They will be responsible for creating detailed drawings as per clients' specifications, verifying that drawings are accurate, legible and follow applicable industry codes, and working directly with project managers and 3D designers to develop drawings, schematics and diagrams for projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilise knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to complete drawings;
  • Verify that drawings are accurate, legible, and follow applicable industry codes;
  • Create detailed drawings as per clients' specifications;
  • Work directly with project manager and 3D designer to develop drawings, schematics, and diagrams for projects;
  • Uses computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs;
  • Creates and revises fabrication drawings;
  • Drafts detailed multi-view drawings of products;
  • Modify existing drawings to reflect necessary changes;

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and on a team;
  • Detail oriented, organized with the ability to handle multiple ongoing projects and meet deadlines;
  • Knowledge of drafting standards, mathematics, and engineering technology;
  • The ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions;
  • Able to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with various departments such as project, production and designer;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment;
  • Degree or Diploma in Architectural or Civil Engineering or Building Information Technology;
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in construction industry;
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch Up & 3D Max;
