  • Monitor shipment status, track timelines, and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Negotiate rates and terms with logistics partners and suppliers to optimize costs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide support to other departments on import-related queries and compliance matters.
  • Stay updated with the latest customs and regulatory changes affecting import operations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 23 years of experience in import operations, supply chain, or logistics roles.
  • Solid knowledge of international import regulations, customs compliance, and documentation requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple shipments and tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation and data.
  • Proficiency with import management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with logistics management systems or ERP software.
  • Knowledge of global trade agreements and regulations.
  • Certifications in import-export operations or customs compliance (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with international shipping routes.
