Healthcare Analytics Specialist Role

At the Ministry of Health, we are seeking a dynamic and skilled specialist to play a pivotal role in analysing healthcare service utilization, optimising operations, and contributing to a culture of data-driven decision-making.

As a key member of our team, you will work in a fast-paced environment that requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply data science and econometrics techniques to understand and provide actionable insights into healthcare utilisation patterns.
  • Collaborate with policy, cluster, and research partners to leverage domain expertise and enhance analysis depth and accuracy.
  • Assess healthcare operations and resource needs thoroughly, using data science techniques to monitor, project, and optimise patient demand and healthcare supplies.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and reporting frameworks for timely stakeholder updates.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Operations Research, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Business Analytics.
  • Proficiency in R, Python, or Stata.
  • Experience applying data science or econometrics techniques to healthcare data.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for sound policy recommendations.
