Project Officer Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Officer to oversee the daily operations of our laboratory facilities. The successful candidate will have a strong organizational skillset, technical expertise, and comprehensive understanding of both laboratory and office management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate research projects with Corp Lab project management officers and monitor research project report schedules.
  • Arrange research meetings with project PIs and researchers.
  • Provide basic daily administration support.
  • Offer efficient support to centre management.
  • Manage Corp Lab front desking.
  • Track stock and purchase of Corp Lab office supplies.
  • Support logistics arrangements for daily operations, events, and activities.
  • Provide support in onboarding and offboarding of new staff/student hires or departures.
Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Material Science or related fields with prior experience in office and laboratory operations.
  • Understanding of basic research laboratory operations and principles.
  • Proficiency in relevant office software, e.g., Microsoft Office, laboratory information systems, and tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining robust working relationships.
  • Added advantage: Experience working in research institutes or a university environment, demonstrating familiarity with operational, regulatory, and audit/compliance aspects of these settings.
