Job Title: Academic Instructor

Job Description:
  • This role is focused on leading and/or co-designing new modules or reviewing/improving current ones in collaboration with our HQ, aligned with industry development and module/course objectives.
  • Design and adopt innovative pedagogy, staying up-to-date with technological advancements to achieve module outcomes and quality delivery.
  • Deliver lessons according to module objectives, learning design, and lesson plans provided by our HQ.
  • Supervise class assignments, projects, practicum, and internships.
  • Mark and monitor class performance, providing informative and constructive feedback.
  • Monitor Module/Course Evaluation Surveys for quality indicators and improvements.
  • Absorb and apply assessment strategies and requirements for module assignments according to Polytechnic assessment guidelines.
  • Act as a class advisor/mentor for tutorial groups, providing necessary information and support.
  • Handle disciplinary issues in consultation with Module Leaders/Course Chairs/Course Leads when necessary.
  • Attend academic meetings, training sessions, and exam processing and invigilation.
  • Involve in committees/projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related post-graduate qualifications.
  • At least 5 years of teaching experience in the early childhood industry.
  • Background and experience in Early Years / Inclusive Practice / Special Needs / Mother Tongue languages / Music / Visual Art will be advantageous.
  • IT savvy and experience in using online teaching tools.
  • Meticulous, self-initiated, responsive, and adaptable.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively.
