Key Responsibilities
  • Internal Reviews
    • Conduct regular reviews of subsidiary operations to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Control Self-Assessment (CSA) frameworks.
    • Identify and report any inadequacies, lapses, or discrepancies, and provide recommendations for improvement.
    • Prepare reports to consolidate findings and proposed action plans for implementation.
    • Liaise with key personnel in subsidiaries to monitor the progress of improvement implementation and evaluate its effectiveness.
  • Risk and Compliance Activities
    • Develop and maintain the Group's finance SOPs, including the subsidiary accounting handbook and supplementary policies.
    • Coordinate the Group's Financial Oversight and Control Improvement Team (FOCIT) and Control Self-Assessment programs to provide an annual snapshot of the Group and subsidiaries' state of internal controls.
    • Monitor regulatory changes relating to risk and compliance and assist in ensuring compliance.
  • Internal Audits
    • Liaise with internal auditors to support the completion of scheduled audits in the Group.
    Requirements
    • Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or professional equivalent certifications with at least 3 years of relevant experience in an audit firm or commercial setting.
    • Familiarity with accounting systems will be advantageous.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Bilingual in English and Mandarin - ability to liaise with Mandarin-speaking counterparts.
    • Able to work efficiently and effectively.
    • Possess a good analytical mind, judgment, integrity, and attitude to get to the bottom of things.
    • Willing to travel overseas, with approximately 25% of the role requiring international travel.
