Job Summary:

The Marine Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating and arranging Oil Major Vetting Inspections, conducting Marine Inspections, and ensuring timely follow-up of all deficiencies noted during vessel attendance. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist in the investigation and root cause analysis of accidents, and be a member of the ASL Emergency Response Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and arrange Oil Major Vetting Inspections as directed.
  • Conduct Marine Inspections and pre-vetting inspections or vetting assistance as directed.
  • Assist in the investigation and root cause analysis of accidents.
  • Be a member of the ASL Emergency Response Team.
  • Assist in arranging external safety audits and onboard training.
  • Monitor and support all vessels on operational issues.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience at sea.
  • Minimum 3 years of sailing experience as Chief Officer on Chemical Tankers.
  • Hold relevant maritime certifications such as Chief Officer's certificate or Master's license.
  • Experience in Ship Vetting by majors, Ship and Terminal Operations.
  • Knowledge of maritime regulations.
