Early Years Educator Position

At this educational institution, we require an Early Years Educator to provide support in the teaching of young children at our Infant and Toddler Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing age-appropriate curriculum aligned with developmental milestones and emerging trends in early childhood education.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing a conducive learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and active learning, ensuring the spaces are well-maintained, organized, and equipped with appropriate resources.
  • Implementing effective classroom management strategies to create a structured atmosphere, addressing behavioral challenges with empathy and professionalism.
  • Regularly updating children's progress reports and maintaining comprehensive portfolios for each child, providing meaningful insights and recommendations on each child's development through observations and assessments.
  • Building trusting relationships with parents through regular communication, establishing effective partnerships to support the child's learning and development.
  • Fostering respectful interactions with children to build strong educator-child relationships, modeling positive behavior and social-emotional skills to promote a supportive environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to build a positive working environment, sharing resources and best practices to enhance team performance.
  • Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and standards for early childhood care and education, demonstrating professionalism and commitment to ethical standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (or equivalent) and/or Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY)
  • Passionate about working with young children and fostering their development.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
