Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Specialist to oversee the upkeep and repair of hotel equipment and systems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems.

  • Oversee hotel equipment and systems, ensuring proper functioning and guest comfort and safety
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with hotel infrastructure
  • Supervise installations and upgrades of hotel equipment and systems
  • Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on critical hotel equipment
  • Ensure guest room electronics are in proper working order
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to address guest concerns or equipment issues
  • Respond to emergency maintenance or system failures
  • Monitor and report performance of hotel systems
  • Assist in implementing energy-saving measures and sustainable practices
  • Oversee inventory of spare parts and tools
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Nitec or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in maintenance and repair of hotel equipment and systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work on shift, weekends and public holidays
