Position Overview

Reporting to the Clinical Product Support Manager, the Clinical Scientist plays a crucial role in delivering clinical assistance for Cook Medical's reproductive health offerings within the designated region. This involves direct engagement with embryologists and physicians, as well as providing education to medical personnel and consultation on procedures. The reproductive health division at Cook Medical is dedicated to developing devices for assisted reproduction, gynecologic imaging, high-risk pregnancy management, and fetal diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

Core Accountabilities:

  • Deliver clinical support during medical procedures.
  • Identify, cultivate, and nurture relationships with key clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to provide comprehensive support for the company's product lines.
  • Educate and inform clients through training sessions, approved literature, instructional videos, and articles.
  • Share clinical insights with sales teams, product development, marketing, training, quality assurance, and other internal departments.
  • Stay informed about reproductive health product lines, clinical practices, business ethics, and other educational necessities.
  • Contribute to the annual business strategy to assist the sales team in achieving or surpassing targets.
  • Maintain regular communication with sales teams, regional managers, and other support functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting.
  • Travel as necessary, potentially up to 70% of the time.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, or equivalent experience that provides a comparable background.
  • Essential experience as an Embryologist.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English is essential.
  • Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills are crucial.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work collaboratively as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain composure and receptiveness in fast-paced environments.
  • This role necessitates access to healthcare facilities and compliance with specific vendor credentialing policies, which may include proof of vaccinations for relevant diseases, COVID-19 vaccination status, a satisfactory police check, and the ability to obtain a working with children certificate.
