About the Role

The Clinical Informatics Implementation Specialist will play a critical role in the successful adoption of our electronic hospital management and electronic hospital records software. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, training, and re-engineering practice operations to support the effective use of our software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact and application subject matter expert for users during the implementation process, providing on-site go-live support and post-implementation phase optimization.
  • Analyze and document user workflow requirements as they pertain to the implementation of electronic practice management and electronic medical records software.
  • Prepare recommendations and/or alternatives to address existing and potential areas of improvement in hospital operations, redesigning existing workflows to leverage our EHR/PM application.
  • Create, utilize, and implement customized training curriculum to train and instruct users on the effective use of our electronic practice management and electronic medical records software features.
  • Provide regular status updates to the project manager for all assigned tasks.
  • Develop policies and procedures in support of clinical applications, ensuring best practice models for service delivery.
  • Lead and support teams to develop clinical data/documentation and workflow standardization.
  • Act as a change agent/escalation point for clinical issues and constraints in the identification, development, planning, and implementation of clinical systems in support of quality patient care and professional practice.
  • Oversee and manage the prioritizing of functional change requests, reporting, and monitoring of issues, and implementation of communication strategies.
  • Develop and supervise system end-to-end testing scenarios, conduct/oversee the End-Users User Acceptance Testing (UAT), develop and supervise end-users training schedules and materials.
  • Provision of support, and identifying opportunities for innovation and deployment of new clinical information technologies and systems.
  • Plan project goals & objectives and project timeline and preparation for management updates.

Requirements

  • Previous experience with hospital workflows.
  • Experience with IT system analysis/documentation, end-user training/support, and system testing.
  • Experience with instructional design and curriculum/training material development.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR system assisting with system implementation and support required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Office, and Outlook.
  • Experience working with computer networks and software development preferred.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in a clinical setting.
  • Experience in software development or testing.
  • Diploma or Degree in a healthcare discipline (nursing, allied health, medicine) preferably with experience in implementation of IT systems; or IT Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a recognized/accredited institution.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or CITPM (Certified IT Project Management) (Preferred).
