Engineering Specialist IV Job Description

As an Engineering Specialist IV, you will be responsible for assembling, aligning, and integrating mechanical and electrical sub-systems for sputtering equipment based on schematics and build instructions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assembling, aligning, and integrating mechanical and electrical sub-systems for sputtering equipment based on schematics and build instructions.
  • Installing components such as vacuum chambers, pumps, valves, and control panels.
  • Performing functional and quality checks during and after equipment installation.
  • Supporting basic tool troubleshooting and rework for both mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Assisting with equipment installation, conversion, and upgrades as required.

You will work closely with engineering teams to improve the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Higher NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Experience in equipment assembly, mechanical, or electrical troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with tools such as torque wrenches, multimeters, and vacuum gauges is a plus.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
