Digital Circuit Designer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Circuit Designer to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and developing digital circuits for various applications.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop design requirements of a digital circuit given system level specifications.

  • Model the performance of the digital circuit module and its data transaction throughput.

  • Design and implement microarchitecture using Verilog/System Verilog HDL for various sub-blocks of the digital circuit.

  • Understand and apply mathematics of different convolution operators including fixed point and floating point arithmetic formats.

  • Evaluate, measure and optimize PPA (Performance/Power/Area) to meet key objectives and results.

  • Optimize micro-architecture design for low power and area.

  • Collaborate with verification engineers to ensure comprehensive testing and debug issues.

  • Support integration into the overall system, conducting design checks and addressing lint/timing/CDC issues.

  • Work with software teams to assist in compiler and toolchain development and debugging.

  • Produce clear and concise design documentation.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of digital design experience with at least 2-3 years of SoC design experience.
  • At least one cycle of digital circuit design completion experience is required.
  • Hands-on experience in digital design is essential.
  • Leadership experience as a design lead is preferred.
  • Experience in microarchitecture design, RTL coding with Verilog/System Verilog.
  • Experience in synthesis, analysis of power, timing and area.
  • Disciplined, quality-minded and driven for excellence.
  • Excellent team player and communication skills.
  • MSEE/BSEE in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Understanding of convolution operator and number system is required.
  • Candidates with relevant experience will be considered for senior roles with additional responsibilities.
  • UVM verification methodology experience is a plus.
  • SoC design experience is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of deep learning algorithms such as CNN/Transformer is a plus.
  • Past design experience with NPU/GPU/DSP is advantageous.
  • ARM/RISC-V processor systems experience is desirable.
  • General programming skills are a bonus.
