Job Title

A Senior Assistant Manager position is available to provide leadership and oversight in support of the Centre's work plan and objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overall financial management, budget forecasting, grant claim statements, and regular financial audits.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Allocation of budgets for research projects with financial analysis and reports to the grantor/governing board.
  • Tracking and monitoring actual KPIs.
  • Overseeing matters pertaining to human resource, including recruitment, staff appraisal, and salary bench-marking review.
  • Driving the development and signing of legal documentation needed for successful operations of the lab.

Job Requirements:

  • Good tertiary degree.
  • Prior experience in grant administration or managing grants at a large programme level with exposure to NRF/RIE funding will be highly advantageous.
  • Strong organizing, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, independent and a strong team player.
