Our organization is currently seeking a talented leader to fill the role of Software Principal Manager.

Job Description

 

  • This leadership position oversees the management of software principals with the goal of delivering customer outcomes. The Software Principal Manager will be responsible for qualifying opportunities, defining Proof of Concept scope and success criteria, aligning data needs, managing risks and stakeholder updates, and more.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Qualify Opportunities: Work closely with Sales to qualify opportunities and define Proof of Concept scope and success criteria.
  • Manage Vendor Relationships: Coordinate with vendor Application Engineers/Sales–/Solutions Engineers to run demos/benchmarks, manage run-of-show, risks, and stakeholder updates.
  • Build Executive-Level Value Cases: Collaborate with vendors to build executive-level value cases, support pricing/licensing structuring and commercial proposals.
  • Own Statement of Work Drafting: Own the drafting of Statements of Work with vendor PS teams, including project plans, RAID logs, acceptance gates, and change control.
  • Run Weekly Triage: Run weekly triage sessions with customers and vendors, track issues to closure, and escalate as per playbook.
  • Drive Adoption and Measurable Outcomes: Drive adoption and measurable outcomes, conduct Quarterly Business Reviews/Executive Business Reviews, secure renewals and expansions.
  • Be Day-to-Day Interface: Be the primary point of contact for principals: roadmap alignment, escalation paths, capacity planning.
  • Set Up Enablement Programs: Set up enablement programs for channel partners.
  • Maintain Knowledge Base: Maintain a knowledge base containing playbooks, RACI, templates, and competitive positioning with vendor collateral.
  • Enforce Service Level Agreements: Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements, data governance, Intellectual Property & confidentiality controls.
  • Maintain CRM Hygiene: Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline stage definitions, and delivery KPIs dashboard.

 

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise/industrial software program management, customer success, or solutions management; Computer-Aided Engineering familiarity is an asset.
  • Proven track record in vendor management and multi-party orchestration across pre-sales → delivery → success.
  • Strong background in Statement of Work/contract basics, risk & escalation management; excellent stakeholder communication.
  • Comfortable working with tools such as Jira/Confluence (or equivalents), CRM, basic analytics; Project Management Professional/PRojects IN Controlled Environments, v2 is an asset.
  • Fluent English; additional Asian language is an asset for regional coordination.
  • Degree in Engineering/Science/Business or related field.
