Job Title: Project Officer

Job Description:

The role of a Project Officer involves managing the day-to-day operations of an initiative aimed at developing an AI-supported peer feedback system to enhance students' feedback literacy and higher-order thinking.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of the system prototype, ensuring that both technical and pedagogical standards are met.
  • Manage complex system design tasks and coordinate with developers to ensure timely delivery of key project components.
  • Conduct rigorous evaluations of the system's effectiveness through data collection, analysis, and testing of the prototype in real-world educational settings.
  • Manage and coordinate data collection processes, including setting up and maintaining the system for efficient data capture and analysis.
  • Prepare reports, publications, and presentations to disseminate findings to various stakeholders.
  • Support the Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Investigators in ensuring smooth project operations and timelines.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders and partners as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require a University degree in Education, Learning Sciences, Educational Technology, or a related field. You should also possess good knowledge in AI in education, feedback literacy, and technology-enhanced learning. Experience managing educational projects and/or system development prototypes is an advantage.

  • A strong proficiency in data collection and educational evaluation techniques.
  • Proficiency in emerging technologies (e.g., ChatGPT).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and collaborate within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Benefits:

This is an 8-months contract position. NIE staff can take chartered buses at their own expense from or near their home to the NIE campus. This is subject to the availability of seats.
