Data Engineer Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of data analytics platforms that serve both stakeholders and lines of business.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing new features and functionalities within the platform. They will also be responsible for analyzing business requirements, understanding underlying data sources, transformation requirements, data mapping, data modeling, and metadata for reporting solutions.

This role requires strong technical skills, including EDW and data mart layer design, infrastructure setup, and automation. The selected candidate must also have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business requirements and understand underlying data sources
  • Design EDW and data mart layers with appropriate enterprise considerations
  • Build infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data
  • Maintain and improve existing data analytics systems

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field
  • Solid experience in designing and implementing robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT frameworks
  • Proven experience as a data warehouse architect and developer, including full implementation of data warehousing solutions
  • Experience in data engineering solutions built on modern data lake or Lakehouse architectures
  • Expertise with database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP), SQL queries, and Azure Resource Management
