Senior Dietitian/Dietitian Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Dietitian/Dietitian to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in promoting health and wellbeing through the application of medical nutrition therapy.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate clients' nutritional needs and develop tailored treatment plans in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with care teams to coordinate medical and nutritional needs, making recommendations for tube feedings and/or oral nutrition supplements.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to evaluate treatment plan effectiveness and adjust as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and departmental statistics.
  • Plan, develop, and implement health and nutrition education activities or programs to promote wellbeing and health.
  • Conduct community outreach activities related to health promotion.
  • Develop and update nutrition education materials and resources for clients, caregivers, and the general public.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals on multidisciplinary health programs focusing on nutrition education/activities.
  • Assist with catering tender evaluation and menu planning.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory food standards and contribute to staff training on food hygiene and preparation.
  • Participate in dining culture programs and conduct dietary, nutritional, and epidemiological research.
  • Analyze current clinical knowledge and research to improve patient care and nutrition service offerings.
  • Review literature regularly to incorporate advancements in nutrition care into practices and protocols.
  • Provide consultation services to ensure adherence to nutritional guidelines in care facilities.
  • Provide nutrition consultancy and dietetic services to nursing home facilities.
  • Contribute to reviewing, assessing, and creating community nutrition care policies, procedures, and department policies.
  • Represent the department at meetings and conferences as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition with Post-Graduate Diploma in Dietetics or Master's in Nutrition and Dietetics recognized by the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association (SNDA).
  • Relevant clinical experience in healthcare settings with Dietetic services advantageous.
  • For senior dietitian: minimum 4 years of relevant clinical experience in healthcare settings with Dietetic services (with 1-year supervisory capacity preferred).
  • Registered dietitian at the Singapore Nutrition & Dietetics Association (SNDA) or any recognized Dietitians Association is advantageous.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
  • Good analytical, presentation, and public speaking skills.
