Job Summary

  • We are seeking a dedicated Senior Construction Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of construction projects.

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will perform thorough checks on structural, architectural, and M&E materials/works for final inspections.
  • Conduct regular site visits to guarantee works comply with method statements and industry standards.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, identify defects, and rectify them promptly.
  • Prepare and submit relevant QA/QC reports to stakeholders.
  • Implement and enforce QA/QC plans to ensure product quality before delivery.
  • Verify product functionality before handing over to clients.
  • Support preparation for quality management submissions and yearly audits.
  • Evaluate the construction process and procedures, providing constructive feedback.
  • Execute quality control measures in accordance with site-specific materials and Works Quality Plan.
  • Provide training for subcontractors and internal staff on quality control best practices.
  • Issue and manage Site Memos as required.
  • Monitor corrective and preventive actions against non-conformities.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies for assessments and recommendations.
  • Develop solutions for critical and recurring defects.
  • Ensure method statements are approved by clients and consultants.
  • Follow contract requirements for testing and inspection.
  • Attend regular site meetings, including QAQC, coordination, and client meetings.
  • Participate in off-site inspections for Precast and Structural Steel Works.
  • Collaborate with inspectors and customer service officers for pre-handover inspections.
  • Address unit owner complaints during the defect liability period.
  • Oversee handover of common areas to management teams.

Requirements

  • Candidate must hold a degree in a related field, preferably with a focus on quality assurance knowledge.
  • Prior experience in the construction industry, specifically in condominium projects, is essential.
  • Strong understanding of construction quality control and assurance principles is mandatory.
