Job Title: Laboratory Equipment Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that plays a critical role in the selection, installation, and maintenance of laboratory instruments. As a Laboratory Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for the management of analytical instruments.

  • Responsible for the procurement, commissioning, validation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of laboratory instruments;
  • Draft technical documents related to instruments and participate in process optimization;
  • Conduct investigations related to instrument management and initiate changes as necessary;
  • Assist analysts in troubleshooting during testing and provide training on relevant skills when needed;
  • Evaluate data integrity of various instrument systems and improve the department's level of data integrity;
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory documents from various countries and refer to these documents when updating internal procedures;
  • Participate in customer audits and government inspections, promptly address identified issues, and ensure compliance with regulations;
  • Strengthen communication with internal and external clients and establish stable relationships;
  • Collaborate with department leaders to build a high-efficiency team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Pharmaceutical or Chemistry-related field;
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical production, testing, and quality management; familiarity with GMP regulations;
  • Prior experience in instrumentation companies is preferred;
  • Proficient in English and Chinese, fluent in spoken language to liaise with stakeholders;
  • Good computer skills;
  • Over 3 years of work experience in analytical instrument management; candidates with GMP instrument management experience are given priority;
  • Familiarity with industry laws and regulations regarding technical specifications for analytical instruments;
  • Familiarity with industry requirements for data integrity of analytical software;
  • Strong ability to handle on-site issues, good coordination, communication, and execution skills;
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure;
  • Ability to determine problems, gather information, and draw effective conclusions;
  • Project management and tracking skills;
  • Ability to manage budgets and assets, controlling lab expenses;
  • This role requires on-the-job training.
