Senior Business Data Science Specialist



Data Science Role Description

The role of a Senior Business Data Science Specialist involves developing and maintaining technology platforms that process payments through behavior detection algorithms, identifying suspicious and fraudulent activity.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Controls and Processes: Develop data controls and processes to ensure data integrity from source to target.
  • Technology Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Technology teams to design and test data transformation logics.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Analyze Source to Target Mappings documents and data dictionaries for root cause analysis.
  • Process Design and Governance: Design new processes or streamline existing ones to capture exceptions and ensure governance.
  • Global Triage Meetings: Lead global triage meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data issues.


Requirements:
  • Education: University degree in technology or engineering.
  • Banking Experience: 8+ years of banking experience in data sourcing and mapping, preferably in Regulatory Compliance systems.
  • Data Management: 6+ years of banking experience in data management, including data quality and exception management.
  • Time Zone Flexibility: Comfortable working in different time zones.
  • Programming Skills: Advanced SQL and Python programming skills.
  • ETL Requirements: In-depth understanding of ETL requirements and processes.
  • Payments Knowledge: Knowledge of payments and data coming from settlement systems.
