Deputy Director, Precision Medicine

Join us in shaping the future of healthcare and biomedicine as a Deputy Director, Precision Medicine at Careers@Gov. In this key role, you will play a pivotal part in formulating strategies, developing and delivering programs to tap into opportunities in Precision Medicine & Medtech, and supporting the growth of enterprises in the Healthcare and Biomedical industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team to identify and account manage innovative start-ups and high growth enterprises to facilitate their growth and expansion.
- Work closely with other government agencies and partners (e.g. venture builders, incubators/accelerators and investors) to nurture enterprises and the industry's growth.
- Research and analyze local and global trends, and promote the adoption of industry best practices and technologies.
- Exceptional project organization and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple competing project timelines while ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Analytical, with excellent writing and communication skills.
- Keen sense of business acumen, with strong relationship building skills.
- Able to thrive under pressure, take initiative and work independently, and lead a team.
- Possess a degree in Engineering or Life Sciences.
- Candidates in a leadership/managerial role with two to five years of account management or business development experience. Prior experience in healthtech, digitalisation, or start-up environment is preferred.
- Prior experience in the public service and familiarity with funding policies, and grant administration and management are preferred.
