Job Title: Head of University and Career Counselling

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of University and Career Counselling to join our team at the German European School Singapore. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our university and career counselling department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive university and career counselling strategy that aligns with the school's overall vision and goals.
  • Lead a team of university and career counsellors to provide high-quality guidance and support to students and their families.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless transition of students from primary to secondary school and from secondary to university.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in university and career counselling, and implement best practices in our department.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with universities and other educational institutions to ensure that our students have access to a wide range of higher education opportunities.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for our university and career counselling team to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent support to our students.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification or certification in university and career counselling or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a senior role in university and career counselling or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Knowledge of university admissions processes in the US, UK, Europe, and Australia, and experience with international students and culturally responsive practices.
