Job Title: Young Children Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Young Children Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Residential Care Unit, you will play a vital role in promoting the well-being and independence of children in care.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing personal care assistance to residents in their daily living.
  • Supporting residents in managing their healthcare needs.
  • Performing daily resident management.
  • Monitoring residents' safety and ensuring clients adhere to home rules.
  • Performing activities according to care plans.
  • Providing inputs for development and review of care plans.
  • Chaperoning clients between appointments and activities to ensure safe transfers.
  • Responding to unusual or challenging behaviors of residents.
  • Responding to incidents according to organisational procedures during social, recreational and educational activities.
  • Maintaining accurate records, accounts, documents, and correspondence.
  • Ensuring residents' behaviors are in compliance with house rules.
  • Recommending measures to mitigate risk to residents.
  • Tracking inventory in Operations Room.
  • Ensuring equipment is maintained in clean and working condition.
  • Supporting Emergency Response.
  • Assisting in emergency response and crisis management drills.
  • Participating in organisational emergency response and crisis management exercises.
  • Documenting and reporting incidents according to organisational procedures.
  • Conducting social, recreational, and educational activities to promote independence, health, wellness, and quality of life.
  • Guiding clients in developing basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills.
  • Identifying areas for improvement in programs, activities, and trainings.
  • Performing daily handover to staff during changes in shifts.
  • Providing input to operations review meetings.
  • Managing front-desk duties.
  • Liaising with social service practitioners, volunteers, organisations, and stakeholders to facilitate provision of care services for residents
