Chemistry Laboratory Management Position

The primary function of the laboratory supervisor is to oversee day-to-day operations and guarantee their efficiency. Chemistry Laboratory supervisors play a vital role in ensuring that all laboratory processes are carried out in accordance with established guidelines.

  • Prioritize and delegate tasks to ensure optimal use of team resources, meeting work schedules and targets.
  • Coordinate the activities of a team of Laboratory Assistants responsible for testing and inspecting raw materials, products in process, and finished goods.
  • Assist in categorizing final products and reworked lots.
  • Troubleshoot quality issues and implement improvements based on analysis gap studies.
  • Monitor in-process samples and collaborate with production teams for preventive and corrective actions.
  • Prepare activity reports to identify recurring problems and address them accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coach team members to ensure effective teamwork and productivity.
  • Support the Quality Control department's functions both on-site and off-site as necessary.
  • Maintain a good understanding of laboratory equipment such as GC, AAS, Auto-titrator, NIR, etc.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Chemical Science.
  • Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in Laboratory Testing (Wet Chemistry).
  • Ability to supervise and lead a team of Laboratory Assistants.
