We are seeking an experienced Explainable AI Researcher in Civil Engineering to join our team at Nanyang Technological University. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing explainable machine learning algorithms for risk identification in Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) operations.
This involves creating practical tools to optimize TBM operation parameters and publishing research results in reputable peer-reviewed journals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering or a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in technical hands-on experience for TBM tunneling.
Excellent programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or other competent languages are also essential. A good record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals or conferences is also required. Proficiency in written and spoken English is required for data analysis and communication with stakeholders.
