Job Title: Senior Project Engineer for Rolling Stock and Depot Equipment

As a senior project engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects related to rolling stock and depot equipment. Your key focus areas will include the development of technical specifications, reviewing design submissions from suppliers, and exploring engineering initiatives to improve the reliability, operation, and maintenance of rolling stock and depot equipment.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams from different disciplines within our organization, as well as with public transport operators and contractors at various stages of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects related to rolling stock and depot equipment, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications for rolling stock and depot equipment, collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Review and assess design submissions from suppliers, providing feedback and guidance on improvements.
  • Explore and implement engineering initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of rolling stock and depot systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address operational challenges and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering, with knowledge of data analytics an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel for overseas testing and inspection, if required.
