Senior Principal Engineer - Power System Design

This is a senior principal engineer position responsible for the design and validation of power distribution systems for Tier III data centers and AI server environments. The ideal candidate will have experience working with high-power DC systems, ensuring compliance with global standards, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust and reliable power infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities
  • DC Power Distribution Systems Design: Develop tailored circuit breakers, switch boxes, and protective devices for data center applications.
  • Highest Quality Hardware Testing: Perform rigorous testing of power supplies and converters used in AI server racks under high-load conditions.
  • Power Supply and Converter High-Power Testing: Utilize AC/DC sources ranging from kilowatts to megawatts, simulating real-world data center loads.
  • Reliability and Immunity Tests: Execute assessments such as power surge, voltage dips and fluctuations, EMC, EMI, and Hi-Pot.
  • Design Verification and Performance Evaluations: Conduct analyses including startup behavior, transient response, step response and dynamic analysis, gain and phase measurements.
  • Detailed Technical Reporting: Generate technical reports summarizing test results, design evaluations, and compliance findings.
  • Test Protocol Maintenance: Update protocols to reflect the latest IEC, EN, UL, and IPC standards.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Work with electrical, mechanical, and firmware engineers to integrate power systems into broader infrastructure solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in power distribution design preferably in data center or industrial settings.
  • Strong understanding of TIA-942 standards and Tier III data center architecture.
  • Familiarity with IEC/EN/IPC compliance and testing procedures.
  • Proficient in using high-power test equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent communication skills.
