Job Title: Data Centre Inventory Specialist

The data centre inventory specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all data centre equipment. This involves conducting regular audits to ensure that all assets are accounted for and that inventory controls are in place.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing deliveries
  • Conduct regular audits of data centre equipment to ensure inventory controls are met
  • Movement of equipment using pallet jacks or other assisted lifting equipment
  • Work within a ticket-based environment to resolve issues and complete tasks
  • Destruction of data bearing devices, such as hard drives and solid-state drives
  • Material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management
  • Tactical management tasks, such as prioritising ticketing queues, resolving escalations, and clearing blocking issues

In order to be successful in this role, you will require strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

You will also need to possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

This role requires a high level of technical knowledge, particularly in the areas of asset management, stock inventory, and hardware.

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements:
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in inventory control of data centre equipment and operations
  • Solid understanding of asset management, stock inventory, hardware, ticketing, data center, inventory, inventory handling, computer hardware, service level, inventory control, handling inventory, and inventory management
