Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Programme Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed to making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of clients under their care, both within the Day Activity Centre (DAC) and during community outings. They will also implement, monitor, and evaluate individual Care Plan Goals for each client.

In addition, they will support clients in developing and enhancing their daily living, community living, social, and interpersonal skills. They will foster client independence and help them achieve a higher level of emotional maturity.

The Programme Assistant will also build strong partnerships with caregivers to better understand and support clients' needs and development. They will maintain detailed records and clear communication on client progress.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant experience working with Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), especially individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, or epilepsy.
  • Good command of English – both written and spoken.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Friendly, sociable, and able to connect well with clients and team members.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and highly organized.
  • Adaptable, willing to learn, and capable of working independently and in a team.
