Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Fabrication Supervisor to join our team. This is a permanent position in the Shipyard Industry, offering a good salary and attractive benefits.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Engineering or Marine Offshore, with at least 3 years of experience in structure fabrication supervision works. They should also have experience in managing a workforce of subcontractors/ workers in structure fabrication and installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with senior engineers to understand and follow up on project schedules
  • Work closely with engineers for drawing and site discrepancies, equipment structural clash checks for trouble shooting of fabrication matters and get information for site coordination
  • Supervise, organize and plan activities to ensure smooth fabrication and construction of structures within the stipulated schedule
  • Prepare and plan project progress reports ahead of activities to be completed
  • Redline markup drawings to be done progressively and update engineering
  • Review technical drawings and advise engineering of any discrepancies before commencing any fabrication works
  • Perform MTO and update progressively to ensure proper control of material procurement and usage
  • Ensure that manpower is effectively deployed to deliver the products timely
  • Follow up on all fabrication and installation job fit up, welding and inspection
  • Understand and ensure compliance in project requirement and scope of work
  • Manage and ensure subcontractor performance in line with provided schedule
  • Resolve any technical problems or issues faced at the work site

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Engineering/Marine Offshore or equivalent qualification
  • Min 3 years of experience in Marine Shipyard operations involving structure fabrication supervision works or equivalent
  • Experience in managing a workforce of sub-contractors/workers in Structure fabrication and installation
  • Can start work immediately or at a short notice
