About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement/Sourcing Specialist III to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of the local procurement team, you will play a critical role in maintaining continuous material availability and minimizing inventory. Your expertise in negotiation and cost savings will drive business results and support our company's growth.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize material availability and reduce costs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive cost savings and process improvements
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Support New Product Introduction and supplier risk mitigation activities

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
  • 5 or more years of experience in procurement and supply chain
  • Prior experience in sourcing of new materials to mitigate supply chain risk required
  • Experience in planning, manufacturing, quality, or engineering subject areas desired
  • MRP knowledge and ERP experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and strategic supplier management required
  • Ability to lead project execution of cost-saving, sourcing, and inventory management programs
  • Proven negotiating experience and results required
