OAKTREE CONSULTING is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer (Defence and Military) to join our team. As a key member of our compliance department, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring import/export policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with import/export requirements.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to manage and monitor import/export activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with export-controlled items.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on export control regulations and compliance matters.
  • Prepare accurate and compliant import/export paperwork and maintain complete records for internal audit and relevant authorities' audits on export activities.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of work experience in export controls and defence technology systems. Experience related to defence, military, or highly regulated tech industries is preferred. You should possess good knowledge of the Singapore Strategic Goods (Control) Act and U.S. Export Control Regulations.
