Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Supply Chain Operations within the Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry (CMD) division is responsible for overseeing the Operations and Supply Chain team. This role focuses on both local and global initiatives that influence cost management, inventory control, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

As a leader in this position, you will:

  • Collaborate with various functional teams, including Commercial, Product Marketing, Manufacturing, Distribution, Quality, Procurement, Finance, and Human Resources, to formulate and execute plans that align with CMD's annual operating objectives.
  • Manage the Operations interface between CMD and the manufacturing and distribution sectors, prioritizing actions to meet customer and business demands.
  • Implement Practical Process Improvement (PPI) strategies to foster continuous enhancement in CMD operations, thereby increasing customer allegiance scores.
  • Lead the development and execution of supply chain projects that deliver significant business outcomes across all CMD business units, ensuring alignment with both global and local operational roadmaps.
  • Oversee the material management team to optimize inventory levels and minimize Excess and Obsolescence (E&O), while ensuring timely and quality operations in manufacturing and distribution.
  • Act as the primary contact for resolving critical order fulfillment challenges, ensuring prompt and effective solutions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, with a strong preference for studies in supply chain management, engineering, or business administration; an MBA is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 10 years of direct experience in leading global supply chain or operations teams.
  • Expertise in Continuous Improvement methodologies such as LEAN and Six Sigma, along with a Practical Process Improvement mindset.
  • Familiarity with SAP, APICS CPIM, and comprehensive knowledge of the Quote to Order to Cash processes.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate global business needs, with occasional travel as required.
