Electrical Engineer Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including setting design criteria, checking design calculations and drawings, and agreeing on design concepts with the team leader.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring concept and sketch designs are approved before progressing to the next stage;
  • Assisting in preparing fee proposals;
  • Carrying out feasibility work;
  • Advising and reporting to the team leader and division manager on the adequacy of services;
  • Formalizing standards for specifications, drawings, etc. in conjunction with team leaders and the division manager;
  • Resolving technical problems during project design and/or construction stages;
  • Investigating and recommending engineering system selection;
  • Handling all correspondences, including reports, technical specifications, and other documents relating to projects;
  • Preparing and monitoring cost and quantity estimates; and
  • Attending design/site meetings.

Requirements include:

  • A degree in electrical engineering recognized by the professional engineering board;
  • 7-10 years' experience in design consultancy within the MEP consultancy field;
  • Chartership membership with professional institutions (e.g., CEng, IEEE, IET, IES); and
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

This role involves working closely with the team to deliver high-quality projects and is ideal for experienced electrical engineers looking to take on senior responsibilities.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices;
  • Ability to lead projects and teams of engineers/technicians;
  • Experience working on international airport and data centre projects (desirable); and
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., Autodesk, SolidWorks).
