We are seeking an experienced Freight Controller to manage the seamless movement of ocean and air freight across multiple regions. This regional role is based in Singapore and involves collaborating with the supply chain team to maintain optimal ordering programs, consolidating and building freight shipments, and maintaining real-time shipment visibility through a comprehensive tracking sheet.
As a liaison between internal departments, you will ensure smooth communication and coordinated logistics efforts. Your key responsibilities include negotiating rates with freight forwarders, monitoring industry trends, and identifying opportunities to improve our freight forwarding strategy.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics coordination, proven experience in negotiating freight rates, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and freight management software.
