Heavy Vehicle Technician Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of heavy vehicles and be able to perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul tasks to a high standard.

This is a full-time position that involves working on-site at Tuas, Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 17:30, with alternative Saturdays from 08:30 to 12:30 hours. The role offers a predictable schedule and a structured workload, making it ideal for individuals who value consistency and routine.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul tasks on heavy vehicles to a high standard of workmanship.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using diagnostic tools and verify fixes with functional tests.
  • Flag unusual or complex repair problems to the Team Leader and recommend major repairs or parts replacement as needed.
  • Adhere to workshop safety, housekeeping, and process guidelines at all times.
  • Complete accurate work orders for each vehicle/unit serviced, including parts used, labour time, and test results.
Requirements:
  • National Technical Certificate (NTC) 2 or National ITE Certificate (NITEC) 2 in Automotive Technology.
  • 1-3 years' experience in commercial/heavy vehicle repair and service, preferably with Euro 4-6 exposure.
  • Able to use diagnostic tools and troubleshoot electrical/technical issues.
  • Conversant in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
  • Class 3 & 4 driving license preferred but not mandatory.
