Job Description

We are seeking an expert in speech signal processing to join our team. As a Speech Scientist/Research Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting research and product development in voice and speech signal processing.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Design and implement algorithms for speech enhancement and recognition using microphone arrays.
  • Contribute towards the development of voice-based products for applications such as acoustic event detection, speaker recognition, and speaker diarization.
  • Apply machine learning and AI technologies to develop new features and enhance existing features in speech signal processing.
  • Develop DSP algorithms in C/C++, Python, TensorFlow, and Matlab.
  • Maintain and update product software releases.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong background in voice signal processing, including adaptive filters, speech enhancement, microphone arrays, noise reduction, and acoustic echo cancellation.
  • Familiarity with AI algorithms and architectures and their applications to speech signal processing.
  • Knowledge of using speech processing toolkits (Kaldi/ESPnet/SpeechBrian) and deep learning toolkits (PyTorch/TensorFlow).
  • 2+ years of experience in algorithm design and implementation.

  • PhD in Electronics/Computer Science Engineering related disciplines or Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience is preferred for Speech Scientist position.
  • Master's degree in Electronics/Computer Science Engineering related disciplines or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience is preferred for Research Engineer position.
