Process Optimization Specialist

The role involves diagnosing and resolving complex transfer molding process issues, utilizing theoretical approaches and hands-on techniques. This includes proposing, evaluating, and implementing incremental process improvements to enhance quality, throughput, and process capability.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
  • Provide expert technical guidance on packaging design and process parameters to ensure optimal transfer molding process outcomes.
  • Establish transfer molding processes for new customer products and conduct thorough process assessments and evaluations.
  • Assess change proposals related to the molding process, including new parts, mechanisms, software features, and sequences, and deliver comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations.

Requirements:

A Master or BSc degree in Physics or Mechanical Engineering is required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in transfer molding and/or other backend processes, with substantial hands-on experience.
  • Extensive practical experience in diagnosing and resolving process issues, as well as implementing process optimizations.

Expertise:

  • Knowledge of transfer molding processes and automated semiconductor equipment.
  • Experience in running a DOE (Design of Experiments).
  • Very good English skills (verbal and written) are essential.
  • Proven problem-solving skills (in process, mechanical, SW control) are necessary.
