As a Technical Program Manager for Data Systems, you will leverage your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion.
You will collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, identify potential risks, manage schedules, and facilitate clear communication among cross-functional partners within the company.
You should be comfortable articulating your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as well as discussing technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and operationally manage Global Submarine Networks' (GSN) Layer 2-3 IP Secure Data Communications Network (DCN) and Operational Support Systems (OSS) as well as Cloud-based applications and systems.
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop systems operating processes in support of GSN's Network Operations center (NOC).
- Monitor and troubleshoot network and OSS systems performance.
- Manage and track Quality of Service (QoS) issues and resolutions.
- Collaborate with technology suppliers, security, risk, and compliance teams to ensure Google maintains the highest levels of reliability regarding operating systems and networks.
