Tunnel Engineer

Seeking a skilled Tunnel Engineer to lead our tunnel construction projects.

About the Role
  • We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Tunnel Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with expertise in tunnel design, construction, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed designs for tunnel structures, including alignment, cross-section, and support systems.
  • Conduct site investigations and analyze geological and hydrological data to inform design and construction methods.
  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Supervise tunneling operations, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement quality assurance protocols to maintain high standards in construction practices and materials used.
  • Prepare progress reports and documentation for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Able to work shift work, 12 hour shifts, 6 day work week.
  • Compressed air fit.
  • Excel in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of tunneling methods (e.g., TBM, NATM).
  • 10+ years experience in construction core tunnelling.
