Job Title: Sr Associate Engineer Failure Analysis

This role involves detailed examination and characterization of semiconductor device failures, interpreting analytical results, and providing insights to support root cause identification. Key responsibilities include conducting physical die polishing cross-sectional, die deprocessing, Focused Ion Beam (FIB), Scanning Electron Microscopy (XSEM), EDX analysis to support failure analysis investigations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Detailed die sample preparation including coater, SELA wafer cleaving, chemical decoration.
  • Handling of advanced tools such as Focused Ion Beam (FIB), Scanning Electron Microscopy (XSEM), EDX analysis on semiconductor devices.
  • Writing detailed FA reports and updating completed jobs into the FA database.
  • Ensuring all FA jobs are completed within required turnaround times.
  • Accepting and processing FA requests from Fab promptly and accurately.
  • Supporting analytical, fault isolation, and failure analysis needs across the company.
  • Conducting root cause failure analysis and driving process changes to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Analyzing reports and defective products to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Reviewing and approving FA work performed by technicians.
  • Assisting engineers in providing FA support for quality monitoring programs.
  • Conducting training and certification for technicians on FA techniques.
  • Maintaining daily preventive maintenance (PM), tool uptime, and housekeeping of FA equipment.
  • Collaborating on cross-functional projects and other assignments as needed.
  • Performing all activities safely and responsibly, supporting Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) programs.
